Today I want to talk about the Women’s Tawsha Dress by New Horizons Designs. First, I have to admit, I love the women’s size range from xx-small to 26. Even the Tawsha for Girls’ sizes (12 months to a size 16) have a rather large range which make the pair perfect for mother-daughter dresses. 🙂
With limited sewing time as a working mother, I prefer to sew a dress I know will be flattering and quick the first time around. I love a simple A-line dress with a large floral print.

The Tawsha is a beginner friendly pattern with a few challenges like the faux button back opening with a peekaboo faux underlay. It even comes with optional shoulder accents, a ruffle, or a contrast band. The sleeve lengths are short or long.
Here, I’m wearing the simple version in a size 6 blended to an 8 in the hips. The fabric is a cotton spandex which I was lucky to get during a sale at Girl Charlee while on a birthday shopping spree.
I’m really excited about my next Tawsha: I can add a lace ruffle and shoulder accents for a completely different style. Or I can do the faux button opening with the underlay. For the fall, I can add the long sleeves and slide on a pair of boots to stay warm. I could go on and on.
Happy sewing!
Thanks for stopping by!
